This lure was developed at the hatchery from 1987-1989. It was observed that fish in our aquariums took baitfish head first, which were easier to swallow when the fins face that direction. The lure was developed to imitate this process and went on the market in 1989. It is an excellent casting lure and can be trolled or used with planer boards. It will catch most freshwater species and was tested and recommended by the North American Fishing Club.
